On Saturday August 1, our organization was invited by Mercer Co Sportsman association to spend the day teaching the kids about “What Animals Leave Behind!” at their 30th Mercer County Youthfest. We borrowed animal track examples from the ODNR showing kids what tracks northwest Ohio animals leave behind. They also learned what skat they leave behind with the examples of silicone skat we have on hand. All of them were then invited to make their own animal skat! This is always a big hit and lots of fun for everyone as they giggle and make poop! In all, we estimate 60 kids taking part of a fun filled day with skeet shooting, target shooting, archery fishing and learning!

It was a rainy day, but we kept them busy for 30 minutes at our station and even had a casting contest for them to take part of.

At the end of the event, we gave away another lifetime license as well. A great annual event that we are thrilled to be a part of.
