On September 10th, we had the absolute pleasure of helping at the Lake Improvement Association annual Kids fishing derby. This derby benefits developmentally disabled children and was held at the East Bank Fishing Pond on Grand Lake St Marys.

Earlier this year, the group approached our organization asking if we could help in repairing cane poles used in the derby. While we did help with that task, we also donated 350 NEW cane poles so that the expected 300 kids would have ample fishing equipment! It was a fun day filled with smiles and giggles from the kids and many rebaited hooks as they caught tons of fish!

They filled their bellies with hot dogs, cookies and other great treats and filled our hearts in seeing them have such a great day out.
