April 2024 was the inception of Cousins Youth Outdoor Development. During our inaugural year we were able to connect and sponsor many area youth groups. Our main focus of these events, is to donate and award winners of fishing, hunting derbies or contests with a lifetime fishing or hunting license.

One particular youth event near and dear to our hearts is the Cookskin Camp that takes place each August at Camp Kutobic in Logan County. All three of the cousins and many members of their family including the newest generation, has gone through the camp making memories and learning skills that they would never been able to experience otherwise. The 2024 camp was very emotional in that our first lifetime hunting license was awarded in the memory of Les Longsworth. Les spent every moment he could in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and trapping. He was uncle to John, Jake and Gary, who started this organization.

The idea of donating in memory of a loved one is catching on and we very proud to be the instrument in this kind of heartfelt act. Our target age group for these awards are 16 and under, as we feel recipients will gain the most use out of it, but if you would like to have a lifetime hunting or fishing license donated in memory to someone of any age, please contact us. We will be happy to attend your event where you present the award, or if you like, you can donate anonymously as we know how emotional this type of gesture can be on family members.
